Pinterest Can Help You Have an Unforgettable Wedding

How to Make the Most of Your Pins

The popularity of Pinterest has been growing steadily, and luckily for you, so have the number of great “pins” and wedding resources it has to offer. But with the nearly endless array of dress pictures, hair tutorials, DIY decorations and makeup ideas, where do you begin?

The first step in any planning process is to figure out exactly what needs to get done. You can do this most easily by creating separate boards on your Pinterest homepage for everything you need. Make one for catering, one for dress ideas, one for decorations, and so on. The more specific the board, the better; it will make it much easier to find the information you need down the road.

Once your boards are organized, make sure you have a general idea of what you want in mind before you begin pinning (it’s all too easy to get sidetracked!). Your theme could be as simple as a few color combinations you like or as specific as  ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’-‐ so long as you stay consistent with your pins. By keeping to your main idea, it will be easier to seek out -‐and find-‐ the pins and links that will be most helpful to your planning process, and weeding out the rest.

Once you’re done pinning, the real fun can start! Go through each of your boards in turn and watch how fast you can check important planning decisions off your wedding to-‐do list. Caterer booked? Check. Hairstyle chosen? Check. Beautiful DIY centerpieces? Definitely check.

With all your wedding ideas and resources at the tips of your fingers, Pinterest can help make your big day organized, personalized, and truly unforgettable.
